Huron Charter Township is actively supporting and promoting the development of the Pinnacle Project which is an important part of the overall Aerotropolis vision. The success of the Aerotropolis project means success for Huron Township. This area within our community is planned for a combination of high technology, office, transportation, distribution; commercial and open space uses designed and built in high quality manner, establishing the community as an appealing destination within the Aerotropolis. The character of the community includes the following amenities.

The award winning Huron Public School District services Huron Township. Present renovations to the High School include a new library media center and two new science labs. Several private schools serve the community, as well.
The Township is blessed with park and recreation land. In addition to two Township maintained parks, the Huron Clinton Metroparks maintain and occupy over 3,200 acres of parkland. These facilities include a golf course, boar rentals, canoeing, modern picnic shelters, several swimming pools, playgrounds, fishing, and trail systems.
The Township maintains and operates a fully staffed Township Police and Fire Department. The Fire Department has three strategically located fire stations.
With regards to transportation access, Interstate 275 bisects the entire Township. This major freeway provides the community with convenient regional access to I-75, I-94, I-96, I-696 and M-14, all major component of the interstate freeway system in Metropolitan Detroit.
CSX and Pennsylvania railroads service several businesses within the Township. We have maintained an excellent working relationship with these companies in regards to access, crossings and emergency management.
