The City of Romulus is excited to participate in the cooperative partnership with the public and private sector in the creation and implementation of the Aerotropolis. We believe that this partnership will create economic opportunities and serve as a catalyst for growth within our region. We anticipate our involvement will contribute to the creation of an economic development tool that will enhance the area, and it will provide a means to stabilize the job losses and recession this area has suffered.

The City of Romulus is conveniently located halfway between Ann Arbor and downtown Detroit and is home to Detroit Metropolitan Airport. The location of the airport, two major railroads and Interstates (I-94 and I-275) make it a desirable location for new development in Southeastern Michigan. Romulus also contains large tracts of undeveloped open land with developed infrastructure and easy access. We also have an expanding residential population within new and established neighborhoods. Romulus truly has small town charm with a big-city location.

We look forward to implementation of the Aerotropolis concept and placing this region front and center for new economic investment in Michigan.
